• This high school baseball team received the dreadful news that this might be their last game “for a while” shortly after they won this game. On a very consistent win streak and headed towards another state championship, the rug was pulled out beneath their feet. Coaches gathered the team together to inform them on the more concerning news revolving around the Covid-19 pandemic.

The goal of this project quickly changed trajectory once learning there was not another scheduled game for the foreseeable future. Once the teammates realized they probably just played their last game, the fear and feeling of a more looming defeat fell over the players faces. The seniors would not get the chance to fight for the championship. Suddenly the game of baseball became so much more than a game to these students.

We took what footage we gathered from this game and turned it into a warm, memorable feeling that helped represent the brotherhood that made up this team and the importance that the sport played into each of these kids’ lives. They may not have had their chance at victory, but they had the opportunity to play side-by-side with their peers to create something much more valuable. Friendship.

  • A year after the canceled season, they Parkview boys were back on track in their winning season headed back towards the state championship. We created this social content piece to generate hype for the road towards victory. Later that season, they won the 2021 State Championship.

  • "Having the opportunity through sports, to fight for the growth and development of young people, is a fight I'm honored to be in."
